Announcing Imagine Cup SA 2013 Local Finals Round 1B

We are excited to announce teams that will be progressing to the next Round of the Imagine Cup SA 2013 Local Finals. . Microsoft continues to invest in the  Imagine Cup because we believe that it is more than just a competition, it is one of many ways that we are giving young entrepreneurs, innovators and developers the opportunity to develop an idea, create a product, set a clear business plan and even take their product to market. We take our responsibility to identify and nurture the next generation of ICT leaders seriously.

A panel of judges spent the past week reviewing all the entries and they all tell us it that It wasn’t an easy process as each solution was unique and relevant in its own way, ultimately we came to a conclusion and the following teams will be proceeding to round 1B in March 2013 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

We expect teams to continue working and polishing their solutions as most of them were still work in progress. During round 1B we will then choose one team from the teams above to go represent South Africa at the Worldwide Finals in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2013.
