Hello World!
Being new to Microsoft and blogging, an introduction is in order. My name is Sonu Arora and I am a Program Manager within the Connection Systems Division within Microsoft. My team is currently working on releasing an SDK called WCF LOB Adapter SDK to help Adapter Writers build WCF-based adapters to existing applications and systems for integration. Note that the name of the final product is subject to change before the final public release.
My entire career has been focused on technology and I bring the same passion to Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, I have 11+ years of technology experience as IT Strategy Consultant, Solution Architect and Technical Lead in Bank of Montreal, Toronto, Canada, primarily specializing in developing integration solutions. My last major SOA solution was designing and implementing a J2EE-based centralized Web Services middle-tier on z/OS platform, that integrated with multiple legacy applications. A .NET "rich" Teller Application running on the desktops in nationwide branches was the major consumer of these Web Services. When I joined Microsoft, I got many questions from family and friends about my choice in moving to "the dark side" and that's a topic for a separate blog entry. :-)
I hope to share some useful tid-bits related to my project work in addition to just general ramblings and opinions.
