What can you do in four minutes that doesn’t involve an egg? Avail yourself of some excellent tips on cloud computing filmed at the recent LawTech Futures 2013 conference by managed service provider and legal sector/Microsoft specialist e-know.net.

This short ‘vox pop video’ brings together a whole host of tips from IT experts like McAfee and Google to heavyweights in the legal sector such as law firms who have made the move to cloud computing. There are a number of recurring themes, with due diligence, sector expertise and security all featuring, together with a pretty strong hint that not all cloud providers are the same.

Nigel Redwood, managing director of e-know.net, summarises things well: “The take-out from this is that firms certainly need to be asking all the right questions, to be prepared to dig a bit deeper, to ensure they are comparing like with like, and, if they still need reassurance, to be looking for ‘referencability’, as one contributor described it.”
