WPF/E -- Windows Presentation Foundation Everywhere -- Community Preview

Interested in developing applications in the Windows Presentation Foundation that you can run… everywhere?

"WPF/E" is the Microsoft solution for delivering rich, cross-platform, interactive experiences including animation, graphics, audio, and video for the Web and beyond. Utilizing a subset of XAML-based Windows Presentation Foundation technology, "WPF/E" will enable the creation of content and applications that run within multiple browsers and operating systems (Windows and Macintosh, and others to be announced) using Web standards for programmability.

The first Community Preview of WPF/E is now available, and it will be broadly available in the first half of 2007. Developers should start at the WPF/E developer center, and grab the Software Development Kit while you're there.

  There's nothing yet announced, but there are lots of possibilities one could speculate on in addition to that one, including mobile device platforms.  ("Everywhere" is a lot of places) :)
