Cork, May 22, 7:00: Visual Studio Tools for Office talk

VSTO The Visual Studio Tools for the Office System, or roughly VSTO for short, allow you to use Visual Studio and any of the .NET languages to write line-of-business applications that integrate with the Office suite of applications.

Three local experts down in Cork -- Saoirse Amarteifio, Damien Liddane and Jim Morris of Emoh -- will give a talk on their experiences using VSTO on Monday night.

From Joe Gill's blog:

This a free event and registration is on the night [Monday May 22nd].

The demonstrations will include schema based programming, designing controls and templates for rendering word elements and allowing the user to interact with the underlying data through Word. It will also include use of datasets and winform mixing traditional .Net with the office experience.

Emoh is a new company focusing on the guys' interest in embedded machines for office and home. The current focus of Emoh is contracts which bring them closer to complete knowledge of embedded machines and tools for home and office.

For more information please contact Joe himself.  The event is being held at the Imperial Hotel and starts at 7PM.
