Have to go back to Windows Vista
After this week when I do my final keynote for the MSDN Developer Conference in Detroit I'm going to have to go back to Windows Vista. Not that this is a terrible fate but I've become quite fond of Windows 7 lately. However, I've run into various developer tools and technologies that either won't install or won't run on Windows 7. The main one being Visual Studio 2010 but also including the IIS 7 Rewrite Module and SQL Server 2005 SQL Management Studio.
Of course, when you are working on the bleeding edge it helps to reduce the number of bleeding edges you are using all at once. I'm sure in a few months most of these problems will get resolved and I'll get back on the Windows 7 train. Can't wait... it's been fun.

I'm experiencing the same issues as you are, but with different programs. I'd love to back to Vista, but honestly, don't know how to. My PC came vista pre-installed, so I'm kind of stuck. If you would know, please email me at davidded@videotron.caAnonymous
