Template Manager for OneNote 2010

I have heard from a number of readers that you want an updated version of the Template Manager for OneNote 2010.  Well, the wait is over.  Here it is.  Once installed, click on the Insert tab, then click on Template Manager.

Well, I guess this looks as if it could be pretty handy. However, the Template Manager dialog does not show the templates I am already using, not even the ones installed with OneNote. In addition, now, every time I boot up my computer a Windows Explorer window opens up to C:Program FilesMicrosoft and the only folder in there is "OneNote Template Manager" with two .dll files.

Unfortunately I can't get this to work. I'm using OneNote 2010 x64, and everything appears to install fine but when I click on the Template Manager in the Insert tab, NOTHING happens. No error. No report. Just nothing at all. Any idea about what could be wrong?

I have tested the Template Manager on x32 and I experience  the same problem reported by Jones. The add-in is there but nothing happens when clicking on the Template Manager. Thanks

Any way to create a template from a whole section instead of a single page? I create new projects sections based on a template one containing a bunch of pages and links to those pages and it would be great to have this ability (keeping the links as relative vs absolute).

I am experiencing the same problem that Paul and Jones reported.  It installed, but when I click on it - nothing happens.   No error, nothing.   Thanks in advance. Ben Dupre

I am having the same problem that Grant is having - I open the Template Manager and only see one template. I don't see any of the ones installed with OneNote, much less any of my templates. Please advice.

I installed Template Manager, but it showed up under a new tab called "Add-Ins" with a non-descript icon that says Toolbar Commands.  At least it does work when I click on that.  At least the previous posts don't make me think I'm a total dummy...  Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you are not seeing the Template mangaer in theTemplates group under the Insert tab, go to back stage view File; options, add-Ins. Verify the Add-In is availabe, if it is go to the Manage: Com Add-ins and click GO. verify the OneNote Template Manger is checked.  If not, check it and select OK.  You should then see it in the Ribbon.

OneNote 2010 here. I have installed Template Manager, but it doesn’t appear on the Insert tab, as advertized. I went to the Options->Add-ins->Manage dialog, but it was not even on the list.

Have all the problems above been fixed.  I'm running One Note 2010 on Win8, but don't want to install anything that's not going to work.

Works fine, just make sure if you match 32 or 64 template manager to your office version (32 or 64)

Does this work with OneNote 2013?  If not, are you going to update it?

I'm running Windows 7 64 bit / Office 2010 32 bit.  The icon shows up in the insert tab as expected.  But when I try to apply my template to the notebook, it doesn't seem to work. I have tried creating a new notebook and assigning the template to the notebook. When I create a new page, the same old blank default template keeps coming up.

I believe a lot of the original One-Note team has moved on beyond the MS domain.
