SharePoint and WPC2010
If it’s July, then you know two things. First, Your friends at Microsoft are getting ready for another mind-blowing partner conference. Second, there is going to be a world-wide presence at the SharePint event.
Even though the first rule of partner conference is that you’re allowed to talk about what happens at partner conference, it’s still worth talking about what’s going to happen with SharePoint at this year’s event.
First: The web site for WPC is https://digitalwpc.com. Second: Monday afternoon is when the SharePoint sessions are scheduled for. Prime time – day one.
Two additional sessions will be held on Tuesday
We have a couple offered at the same time, so you will have to clone yourself to hear them all, but here is the schedule…
July 12 | 3:30PM | Jared Spataro | Partner Opportunity with SharePoint for Internet Sites |
July 12 | 5:00PM | Eric Swift | Why Every Partner Should Have a SharePoint Offering |
July 12 | 5:00PM | Jared Spataro | Understanding Microsoft Business Intelligence and Customer Momentum |
July 12 | 5:00PM | Howard Beader | Duet Enterprise for SharePoint and SAP: Partner Programs and Opportunity |
July 13 | 3:30PM | Steve Fox | Business Application Opportunity |
July 13 | 5:00PM | Steve Fox | Leveraging Business Application Platform Technologies |
If you can only attend one, I think that you have to attend Eric Swift’s session. Some of you may have heard about his great presentation at AIIM Expo 2010 a couple of months ago, but even if you didn’t, this is an opportunity to get to know the SharePoint GM and to hear about his passion and energy around SharePoint.
The Expo hall is open that evening, probably with some buffet eats, then go out and grab some dinner, and meet everyone at SharePint at WPC10.
This year’s version of SharePint will be held at the Rocket Bar, 714 Seventh Street, NW, Wash DC. 8PM start time.
Tell your SharePoint partners – and let’s meet at the unsponsored, anything goes, off the record, SharePint!
As for the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of WPC10, well, you’ve have to find me at the SharePoint booth. Look me up, and let’s talk about how your product can integrate best with SharePoint!
The SharePoint partner ecosystem is gaining momentum and strength every week it seems, with more and more product releases making their debut on the SharePoint 2010 application platform.
Have a safe trip, and I’ll see you in Washington DC at WPC10!
