PPS02PAL: Extending SharePoint Server 2007 with PerformancePoint Server 2007

Join Gregg Gracheck (PerformancePoint Server) and Pej Javaheri (SharePoint Server) as they explain how these two products play important roles in Microsoft’s BI offering, the business needs that they are designed to address, and how both bring value to each other.  Gregg and Pej will provide an overview of Microsoft’s BI vision and strategy and how these products help customers realize the value of “BI for the masses”.   After focusing on market opportunities, they’ll show how SharePoint allows for the delivery of  a wide set of collaboration and end-user communication tools, while discussing how PerformancePoint Server delivers end user reports, dashboards, scorecards, analytic views, and plans, using SharePoint Server as a primary delivery platform.  Questions such as when to use SharePoint Server vs. PerformancePoint Server for surfacing KPIs, how KPIs are tracked, how business analysts manage and share dashboard content will be addressed, among other topics. SQL49PAL: SQL Server 2008 Manageability TDM Deck
