Network Access Protection Client for Windows XP SP2 – Beta 3 Release
I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Network Access Protection (NAP) Client for Windows XP SP2 – Beta 3 (February 12th, 2007) to all Longhorn Server Beta customers. You may download it now from MSConnect.
The previous release of the NAP Client for XP SP2 was on July 12th, 2006. Since that time, some exciting things have been added:
· NAP 802.1x support for both WIRED and WIRELESS connections
· The Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) Host Platform – “EAPHost”
The NAP Client for XP SP2 final release will be through the Microsoft.com Download Center later this year. It is planned to coincide with the final release of Longhorn Server.
Please tell us about your experiences with NAP Client for XP SP2 - Beta 3. We need your feedback!

Hey Kevin, I have heard rumblings of a public Longhorn Server Beta 3 release. If this happens, I can look at a way to get this posted to somewhere all people who want it can grab it. At this point, it isn't much use to you unless you have Longhorn Server. PS - Why aren't you on the Beta? Why don't you shoot me a mail about you and your company, what you are doing with NAP (or want to), etc. I will see what I can do. Hey Sumikawa. Wow, strange problem. What OS are you hitting this? I went ahead and removed the funky hyphen from the download name to resolve the issue.

For those of us not fortunate enough to be in the Longhorn beta program, will this be available to the rest of us in the public Longhorn Beta 3 release? Would like to kick this around in a lab to get a feel for it :)Anonymous

Hi, I couldn't download the files. I guess it was caused by there is some strange character between "SP2" and "Beta3" in folder name. The below is captured screen, http://don.to/tmp/napclient.pngAnonymous
