NAP Web Cast: Real world customer deployment of NAP – Louisiana State University

If you’ve been reading this blog, you already know about all the great NAP developments over the past couple of years. However, unless you were at TechEd, you may not have heard about a real world customer’s experience deploying NAP. Luckily for you, one of our NAP TAP customers, Louisiana State University (LSU), will be discussing their experiences in an upcoming TechNet webcast (you can register for the web cast here).

This is a great opportunity to hear about how NAP works in an actual customer environment. LSU’s network has ~25K active nodes at any given time and, as a university, it has a diverse set of users and use cases that really push the envelope of a network health solution. LSU also has the best defensive line in the country which, unfortunately, cannot yet be used for enforcing NAP (be sure to send Jeff Sigman a feature request about adding nosetackles to the current enforcement options of DHCP, IPsec, and 802.1x). J

The web cast will go through the overall architecture LSU is using, its deployment process, and you’ll also hear best practices from Hunter Ely, LSU’s senior security analyst in charge of the project. At the end of the web cast, you’ll be able to ask Hunter questions and learn from the questions of others. Hope to see you there!
