Itron looks to the cloud for analytics

We are excited with today’s announcement that our smart grid, water and cities partner, Itron, has selected the Azure cloud as its preferred platform for cloud analytics. The smart grid is a definitive Internet of Things (IoT) scenario and the cloud is fueling the rise of IoT with its scale on a global basis to absorb data and process that data for business value. Couple the global scale and massive storage and computing power of Azure with the ability to analyze all data with powerful, familiar tools allows Utilities to get business insights faster and accelerates time to value.
