Finding great Microsoft Operations Management Suite documentation: Part 3
Summary: Ed Wilson lists good references for learning more about Microsoft Operations Management Suite.
Good morning everyone. Ed Wilson here. This week has flown by. I have been busy planning activities and reading hundreds of emails. My life is getting active really quickly.

PowerShell Saturday #010
Before I continue my discusstion about Microsoft OMS documentation, I want to talk about one of the things we have been working on this week. It is the PowerShell Saturday event in Tampa, Florida on March 19, 2016.
In the past, all of the PowerShell Saturday events have sold out, and there is no reason to expect that this one will be any different. The list of speakers is impressive—world class even. I will be keynoting the event with my good friend Mark Minassi. The topics range from beginner to advanced and everything in between. I will be talking about Microsoft OMS and PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC).
There is a ton of work involved in putting together these events. Luckily, PowerShell MVP, Teresa Wilson (AKA ScriptingWife), and Microsoft evangelist, Blain Barton, are doing most of the work (hey, it was my idea to have the thing).
Tampa in March is a beautiful place, the cost of the event is ridiculously low, and the speaker roster is tremendous. Sign up now before all of the tickets are gone: PowerShell Saturday #010 Registration.
Microsoft OMS blogs
Today I want to talk about some of my favorite #MSOMS blogs. There are quite a few blogs that cover OMS, and it is hard to keep up with them all. So, here are a few that I check out on a regular basis:
Tao Yang’s System Center Blog This is one of my favorites. Tao, who is a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP, regularly updates his blog. And although the name is System Center Blog, he regularly blogs about OMS. He is also one of the authors of the MSOMS e-Book that I talked about yesterday. He is often on Twitter. One cool thing Tao did was create a PDF: Top Community Resources for SCOM and OMS. It was done in October, but it is a valuable resource.
Cloud Administrator Blog Stanislav Zhelyazkov is a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP and one of the authors of the MSOMS e-book. He is frequently on Twitter, and he posts about things that are related to OMS.
System Center blog by James van den Berg James is also a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP. His blog often has OMS-related posts, and he is frequently seen on Twitter.
Thoughts on OMS, OpsMgr & Azure Marnix Steven Wolf is a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP who blogs regularly. He frequently has posts related to OMS and he is also frequently on Twitter.
Microsoft Operations Management Suite This site is devoted to OMS and is billed as “your official source for all the latest news and tech tips for Microsoft OMS.”
So, let me ask you, "What sources have you found for Microsoft OMS?" Let me know in the Comments section.
That is all I have for you today. See you on Monday when I will have a guest blog post by Microsoft MVP Marnix Wolf. I have already read it :-) and it is awesome! Have a great weekend.
I invite you to follow me on Twitter and the Microsoft OMS Facebook site. If you want to learn more about Windows PowerShell, visit the Hey, Scripting Guy! Blog. If you have any questions, send email to me at scripter@microsoft.com. I wish you a wonderful day, and I’ll see you tomorrow.
