The Media Center PC Controller is running on the .NET Micro Framework - interestingly, the core Home Automation Controller (next to the TV) is also running on the .NET Micro Framework and exposing a pre-release WSD stack (Web Services for Devices).

This year, the Sumo Robotics competition is running on a CE 6.0 based iRobot Create, code for the robot is developed in Microsoft Robotics Studio 1.5.

The second Embedded Demo was a "double act" between Jon Rauschenberger (Clarity Consulting) showing the developer experience for Windows XP Embedded and Vista technologies.

Derek Snyder presented a couple of really cool demos, the first was an intro to Visual Studio codename "Orcas", the second was a very early build of Sliverlight.
