Introducing the AppCampus Award For Windows Phone Teams
It's an exciting time to be a Windows Phone developer. The new crop of Windows Phone 8 devices is outstanding -- I'm loving the screen and the camera on my Lumia 920 -- and great new apps have been showing up in the store. If your Imagine Cup team is working on a Windows Phone project, you've now got even more reason to be excited.
Today we're introducing the AppCampus Award. AppCampus is a mobile accelerator program jointly run by Nokia, Microsoft, and Aalto University in Espoo, Finland, that provides funding, training, and support for innovative Windows Phone developers. Every Imagine Cup team selected for our Worldwide Finals in St. Petersburg, Russia, will be eligible to apply. One team will receive €50,000 (Euros) as well as airfare and housing for a four-week training event in Finland.
That's right -- funding for your project and an entire month in Finland with experts to really polish your work to a world-class result! It's an amazing opportunity.
You'll find the complete rules for this award online and once we've announced our Worldwide Finalist teams on May 15, 2013, we'll invite all of those teams to apply.
Until then, keep coding hard and dreaming big!
