Giving Heroes: Suit up and power youth causes!
This month, Microsoft honors the “Giving Heroes” among us – the nonprofits helping the next generation of innovators, inventors, mountain movers and game changers. Throughout our employee giving campaign, we asked employees to share the organizations that inspired them. We then worked with a number of artists to interpret those stories to create their own interpretation of these Giving Heroes. Every day this month, we’ll post one of their creations to the Microsoft Facebook page. You’ll meet Microsoft employees working with a super-powered nonprofit to encourage and support young people in our communities.
Here’s a sneak peak of the images and the employees who support these heroic causes:
You can be a Giving Hero, too! Visit our YouthSpark micro-giving site, and contribute to the Giving Heroes Fund. The fund will support 30 awesome youth-focused organizations. But, don’t put away the tights and cape just yet. Be sure to mark your calendar for Dec. 3, when Microsoft will celebrate Giving Tuesday with a special offer to enhance your giving powers!
Donations to the Giving Heroes fund are managed by the Global Giving Foundation and Microsoft YouthSpark. Microsoft YouthSpark provides education, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for millions of young people around the world.
