What we think about the Connection Monitor Stamp Model
So part of our workshop talks about the use of the Mobile Client Software Factory Disconnected Service Agent / Connection Monitor. During this talk, we have to attempt to explain to the attendees the confusing "postage" model to describe message priority versus connection cost. If you're not sure what Connection Monitor is, go watch this first.
Here's the diagram:
Jon Box and I believe that we should rename "Price" and "Stamps" to:
- Connection Cost
- Message Value
It's easier to explain to newbies this:
"A message will be sent if it's value exceeds the connection cost. "
versus
"A message will be sent if it's stamp count exceeds the connection price."
what do you think?
