MSN Direct for Windows Mobile is ready for a Technology Preview.  It is a Windows Mobile Standard Smartphone application that connects to our information service and delivers the information that you care about – and it updates automatically – and you never have to enter an URL, or wait for a web page to load.

What type of info can I get?

Weather,  Stocks, Top Stories, World news, Sports news, Entertainment news, Business, Travel, Tech, Health, even News of the Weird.

This version is for Standard Smartphones, not Professional or touch screen devices (we’re working on touch…).

If you’re running a device that can be upgraded to Windows Mobile 6, we absolutely recommend that you upgrade to WM6.

Current users

Note that older versions will stop working so this is a necessary upgrade.

Please uninstall your current version (Start – Settings - Remove programs – MSN Direct), then install over the air by pointing your phone’s browser to this URL:

    So what's the deal with this being smartphone only. imho it is naive to think that smartphone edition is the way of the future.  Look at all the new releases from Apple, Sony etc - they're all looking to make touch operation the next big thing.  What MSN Direct offers is cool, so why limit it to smartphone users with their limited displays and weak user interface? (Oh, and can you tell I'm a PocketPC guy!) N
