I've been using Windows Mobile 6 dogfood (build 15342) on my Excalibur for a while now and have been very happy with it, until today that is. I've just managed to update my device to the latest RTM build and guess what I found...

Everything is magically snappier. From switching windows, going through long lists like contacts and mail, navigating web pages, going back and forth etc. At least 20-30% faster IMHO.

So if you're one of those lucky ones who were in the dogfood or beta programs, update now and flash the latest RTM, you won't regret it. As to where you can get the upgrade:

  1. WM5 - Get upgrades officially from your Operator / OEM / Company you bought the phone from
  2. Beta program, contact your beta administrator
  3. Dogfood, you guys should already know where to get the latest

If your operator/OEM/Company doesn't offer Windows Mobile 6, you should pester them to give you upgrades. They should.
