New Office 2010 Developer Video

Rock Thought of the Day: Kraftwerk

What could a band from the 70's have to do with Facebook, eHarmony, and computer technology today? Turns out-quite a bit. Kraftwerk is a band known for creating their music through computers long before homes even had a Commodore 64! These guys, from Germany, were geniuses in sequencing long before ProTools and MIDI. And, their themes were remarkably prescient. Notice how applicable to online-lonely of today are the following words from Computer Love (1981):

Another lonely night

Stare at the TV screen

I don't know what to do

I need a rendezvous

I call this number

For a data date

Their work has been enormously influential to bands like Radiohead, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Moby, and others. If there is such a thing as an originator of a genre, these guys would qualify.
