Put your old Xbox to good use as a Media Center Extender
I was one of the lucky ones who received their Xbox 360 on day 1. Right away I knew that I wasn’t going to be doing much looking back short of running Halo 2 through backward compatibility mode. I sold all but five of my original Xbox games, but kept the system itself because I had a good use for it.
The Xbox system functions as a great non-HD Media Center Extender! I hooked it up on a TV downstairs and have been using it to stream music and TV downstairs when I’m working out.
It’s even a price competitive offering with other non-HD extender devices. The kit costs $30 and the original Xbox can be found for ~$100. And this extender will even play games! Not a bad deal.

yeah...but no hd :)
So when all the TVs at home are HD, this will just become annoying. :)
But for non-hd tvs, sounds like a good deal though. - Anonymous

But it would be great if you could use standard xp pro and not need media center edition - Anonymous

J.P. I bet it's going to be a while before every TV is HDTV. :-)
Kevin: Agreed.
