PDC Day 2 – Lots of stuff to see!
Checking in from PDC here in Los Angeles – it’s actually day 3 as I write this, but I wanted to give you all some info from Day 2.
Keynote – as usual, Ray Ozzie did a great job of talking vision for Microsoft in the future. He talked about how we have seen the vision for the ‘cloud’ and the enterprise, but we need to bring it back to the person, and the individual – there he introduced Steven Sinofsky, SVP for Windows and Windows Live, bring us the magic of Windows 7. this was the first public preview – very cool, I might add. You can check out the PDC Website and channel 9 for more information.
Here’s Steven Sinofsky and Julie Larson-Green demonstrating some of the power that is Windows 7
Later in the keynote, we got to hear about Visual Studio 2010. VERY COOL.
Also we heard about plans to put Office integration in the cloud too, using some of the Azure stuff we heard about on Day 1.
I spent most of the day talking with tons of partners about Windows Embedded Standard and telling them to come see the Quebec presentation on day 3. Lots of great questions. we even got some on CE.
Later in evening, we went to the Attendee party at Universal Studios. Pretty cool event. they’re doing their “scare the pants off you for Halloween” themed days right now… lots of smoke, scary dudes, and screaming.
Here’s Me, Dion and Cuong at the Simpson’s ride! we didn’t actually go on the ride, but wanted to be “eaten” by Krusty the clown.
Everybody loves the Kwik-E-Mart!
A great time was had by all, I think!
Talk to you tomorrow!
