Add-ins and Code2Fame

I spent the last week playing with all of the add-ins that I could find.  People are starting to do some pretty cool stuff with Windows Home Server.   I guess the Code2Fame Challenge has some people thinking about either $$ or fame or both. 

The best part about the add-ins, is the fact that the community is helping these early developers improve their solutions and the rate of innovation is cool. Shortly after downloading a few of the add-ins and getting them up and running ... I discover that newer versions are available.  There are over 60,000 people that we have accepted into the Windows Home Server beta program and that is a great way to get your add-in tested on a wide variety of platforms by a wide variety of people.  I am sure some people are keeping their development efforts secret so as not to 'tip their hat' too early due to the contest - guess we will find out later this summer ... when the submissions for the contest are due.

  Any word on when official rules are going to be released? Better yet... who should I direct questions to regarding ‘is ____’ legal? While the "Be original, must not have been previously selected as a winning entry as part of any other contest, and must be created and owned exclusively by you" requirement seems clear at face value, I’m curious as to how that might apply to the use of third party libraries which perform specific tasks related to the larger application/addin/service.
