How do I migrate PolicyMaker Items to Group Policy Preference Items?

PolicyMaker customers have been waiting for an easy way to migrate their PolicyMaker settings over to Group Policy Preference settings. The solution is finally here!! We have developed a commandline tool that you can run against your environment to find all of your PolicyMaker settings and convert them to Group Policy preference settings. Download the tool from the Microsoft download page.

    The system requirements for GPPMIG states you have to have be a Domain administrator to use the tool. What if we are not Domain admins but still need to migrate Policy maker items within our OU? The only solution I have found is to manually copy the PolicyMaker item to a text file, edit the file to use the Group Policy Preferences clsid, then paste into preferences item in new gpo.

    Does this migrate our PolicyMaker Outlook profile configuration?

    Hello Guys, Im here again. I just would like to ask you one thing, but its not about this post. My question is...How many Group Policy Settings and Preferences do we have TODAY? Is there a exact number of group policy in Windows Systems? Like; Windows Server 2003 we have... Windows Server 2008 we have... Windows Vista Windows 7 I know its kind of strange....but I'm just curious about that and I don't know if you guys of Group Policy Team can answer me... Thanks in advance for that and Ill be waiting a positive or negative answer... Thiago Pereira
