NSW Department of Education and Training launches short film competition
Recently the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) launched the 2011 Short Film Awards to secondary students across Australia. This year’s theme is Educ8 UR M8 (educate your mate). The theme aims to motivate students to make short films that encourage their peers to think about content they access and share online. Microsoft is proud to support the DET in this fantastic initiative to help raise awareness about responsible use of the internet and digital technologies.
Microsoft, along with our partner the Australian Federal Police and supported by ninemsn, continue to be involved in the ThinkUKnow programme which has recently expanded to include materials that helps educate Australia's youth about online safety. We are continuing to deliver presentations and resources to parents, carers and teachers with information and advice on keeping children safe online. For more information on how to book a presentation please visit the ThinkUKnow website.
Information about the NSW DET short film competition, including how to enter can be found on the DET short film website.
