This month in Brisbane Microsoft Australia hosted its first in a series of breakfast discussions with government leaders. The inaugural breakfast keynote speaker was the Treasurer, the Hon Wayne Swan MP.

Attendees included representatives from Queensland government agencies, tertiary institutions, the IT industry and the non government sector.

Discussion focused on the global financial crisis, improved government service delivery, the role of ICT and better utilisation of existing infrastructure. Microsoft Australia is supporting these discussions between government and the non government sector with the aim of finding ways to improve government service delivery.
