New User Group in the North East of England – 20th Jan Silverlight and Hyper-V
Note: Cross posted from IUpdateable from Eric Nelson.
I love to see new user groups created but as a Geordie I'm especially pleased to hear of the creation of North East Bytes (NEBytes) - https://www.nebytes.net . The intention is to help Developers and IT Pros in the community with the constant battle to learn, stay current and broaden their knowledge.
They meet every third Wednesday of the month at Newcastle University which happens to be where I did Computer Science – which brings back fond memories of the bar and the (very dangerous but hugely fun) paternoster.
Each meeting consists of two one hour presentations - one Developer topic and one IT Pro topic plus refreshments, food, giveaways and prizes. Attendance is completely FREE!!
The launch event is to be on Wednesday 20th January 2010 with my colleagues Mike Taulty and James O'Neill visiting to cover Silverlight and Hyper-V. If you are based in the area then I highly recommend you pop along.
For more information and full event details see - https://www.nebytes.net
Finally – a big thanks to Andrew for making this happen.
