Devs Suggest Sony License Live for PS3

Next generation interviewed some PS3 developers and they contended that Sony should license software for their next generation console from Microsoft.  The article should be here but as best I can tell, their site is currently down.

In other news, it looks like Sony will take a hit just as bad (if not worse) than Microsoft when they release their PS3.  This is going to be a huge gamble for the current poster child of video game console manufacturers:

Sony predicts huge loses on the PS3, accumulating a 100 billion yen operating loss as the company preps for the next-gen console launch. The electronics maker is gunning to sell 6 million units by March 2007, but is likely to run into the same problems that plagued Microsoft.

100 billion yen ~= 900 million dollars.  No matter which way you look at it, that's a lot of money to bet on your console (and format) launch.
