Announcement: Web Client Software Factory Workshop
The Client Team at patterns & practices will be hosting a 2 days, instructor-led training event covering the recently released Web Client Software Factory.
When? Monday, March 12th – Tuesday, March 13th
Where? Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, Washington, USA.
Who should attend? Anyone interested in jumpstarting their adoption of the Factory as the underlying architecture for web applications; and in using automation to streamline the development of applications of this type.
What will you cover? We want this session to be useful to you, as well as insightful for us as we move forward with the second part of the project. We want to learn what would make our offering even more compelling. We are still working on the detailed agenda, but if you’ve been to one of our workshops before, it will be a similar format: presentations by our team, exercises, open discussions, open sessions with the relevant Product Teams, etc. Anyway, we plan to cover the Composite Web Application Block, Page Flow Application Block, Guidance Automation, common design patterns, etc. The training will be delivered by our own team members.
Are there any special requirements? Knowledge of C# or Visual Basic 2005, Visual Studio .NET and ASP.NET 2.0 is highly recommended as this will be a hands-on lab. Ideally, you should be considering WCSF for one of your projects.
How much does it cost? There is no cost for attending the training event. However, you will need to take care of your own travel and accommodation expenses. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Monday and Tuesday. Please don’t book your flights or hotels until you receive confirmation of your registration.
May you invite other members of your teams? Of course, please ask them to fill the form indicated in the link below or let me know in your registration e-mail how many you expect to come. Please include e-mail addresses so I can send notifications and instructions to everybody.
May you invite other colleagues or customers? Same as above.
How to register? Please use this registration form. If for some reason that doesn’t work, contact me on e-mail or through this blog. I’ll send back a confirmation e-mail with additional information such as hotel suggestions, driving directions, and training requirements as soon as I can. Again, please don't make any plans before receiving confirmation from us.
Thanks and look forward to seeing you!
