Patrick's Bio
Hi, my name is Patrick and I am the Site Manager for the Mobile & Embedded Communications Extranet (ECE) on the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Communications Team. The ECE is a restricted-access web site that is used for communicating important information related to each OEM’s license agreement with MS, including announcements, letters, product information, licensing resources, as well as marketing and technical information specifically for embedded products. We have also recently added embedded product downloads (also referred to as product updates, supplemental code, or hotfixes) to the ECE for OEMs who purchase through distribution, so that OEMs have access to the latest updates for embedded products. (OEMs with a direct license agreement with MS will continue to access product downloads on MS OEM Online.) For information about accessing the ECE, please contact ECE@microsoft.com.
I have been a member of the OEM Communications Team at Microsoft since March of 2007. I have a BA in Philosophy and BS in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Washington. Before working on the Communications Team I did research on a family of bacteria know as Mycoplasmas, the smallest known free-living organisms in the world, for the Kenny Lab in the UW Department of Pathobiolgy. When not tweaking the ECE site I spend most of my time with my wife - trying to keep up with our two, not yet school age, daughters.
