Smart Client Architecture Web Cast
I did my first web cast the week before last. A colleague and I, Brenton Webster, who is also a solution architect in the .NET Enterprise Architecture Team, co-presented a session on Smart Client Architecture.
Now, Smart Client Architecture is a big topic and we didn’t have time to cover all architectural issues, but we did cover some of the most frequently asked questions – such as business value, design patterns, deployment and how to go offline. The session is not very technical and was intended more as an overview to the topic but I hope you find it useful…

Wow, how did I miss this live!
Still not sure how one secures the dlls sitting on the web server. How can one prevent an unauthorized user from downloading these dlls? They are sitting on a web server, free to the world if you will. If my user is on the WAN, he can download the dlls. What if I no longer want this user to be able to download the dlls from the web server. How do I block this user? - Anonymous
