Netduino versus Arduino: Cost of things
Netduino parts seem so much more expensive than the Arduino parts. And that would be true.
Pros (for the Gadgeteer or Netduino):
-
- Saves time on the other side by using a high level development tool with a debugger and you can do object-oriented event driven code like Visual Basic or C#
- Faster clock speeds
- Gadgeteer supports Arduino, Arduino does not support Gadgeteer
- Ease of transportation
Cons:
-
- Cost
- Cables cannot be made out of wire laying about the house (which is a BIG deal)
But from a cost point of view the Netduino is more expensive. But I need to get stuff done, and I need stuff that is portable.
