The SetupOM.EXE or SetupSCE.EXE bootstrapper screen appears empty

Something you may run into during the beta/RC & RTM phases of System Center Operations Manager 2007 and System Center Essentials 2007 is a completely white, empty setup screen.

The typical cause here is that IE Active Scripting for the secuiity zone is disabled. Run Internet Explorer and from Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, select Custom Level for the Local intranet zone and Enable Active Scripting.

Invoke SetupOM or SetupSCE depending on product and you should be good to go.
