Yammer – Leave an External Network that you created

Today I was asked, “How do I leave an External Network that I created?  I am the admin of this network, I can’t just leave can I?”

You can certainly leave an External Network but I suggest that you check to see if you are the only admin for that network, and if you are, assign someone else in the network to be the admin.

If you look at the Admins list in the Network Admin option you will see a list of admins.  If you need to add another just enter their name to the list. 

Now that you know there is someone else with admin privileges to your External Network you can navigate to your list of Networks by clicking on the Edit Profile item on the More menu

From this list you can click on Leave Network for the network that you no longer wish to be a member of.
