Fishing in Winter
A few weeks ago I posted a video talking about how much I enjoy fly fishing in winter. Matt Hester and I were talking on the phone and he asked,
"Do you ever actually catch anything?"
In response to Matt's question and to those of you who may have wondered the same thing the answer is Yes!
This picture was taken at Bear Lake early in the season before the ice came on. It was just bitter cold that day. There was ice all along the rocks and it snowed off and on most of the day. This was one of 2 beautiful native bear lake cutthroat trout I was lucky enough to catch that day. I was spin fishing with my brother in law and even though it was cold we had a great time!
