Portable HttpClient is now available as RTM

As promised in our last blog post we’re releasing Microsoft.Net.Http as a stable NuGet package today. Yep, that’s right: You can finally start using the portable HttpClient 2.1 in production! Want to read more? We've posted our announcement to the .NET Blog.

    Ganesh, Sorry but the message is right, there is no support for VS 2010. If you go to the Nuget page for this package you'll find the following information: "This package is not supported in Visual Studio 2010, and is only required for projects targeting .NET Framework 4.5 or .NET for Windows Store apps when consuming a library that uses this package. For known issues, please see: go.microsoft.com/fwlink

    @Ganesh: We support targeting and running on .NET 4.0. However, we need .NET 4.5 on the development machine as we run code during the build that requires the newer framework.
