    Hi, A Microsoft consultant yesterday is came to our office. We were planning to deploy a RDS form for RemoteApps, but to push the apps the RDS servers with App-V 5.0 sp2. The Microsoft Consultant had announced that App-V was at Microsoft now a depreciated product that was not recommended to use now and in the future. I was extremely surprised and would like to know if any one at Microsoft on the product team can confirm that statement please. thank you.

    I've been looking around and I can't seem to find anything related to the question I'm having. You are possibly one of the few people who can answer this. We have physical desktops for all our workstations, Win7 SP1 with at least 2GB RAM and ample HD space. We're looking to virtualize certain programs like Firefox and Chrome to start with but we want any changes such as addons or viruses to not persist. This to me means run an app Repair after every use to reload just the contents of the app package. Is there a way to set certain apps to not save changes? I don't want to add user's AppData or ProgramData to the exclusions or I'm thinking the program won't work right since it uses those directories. Also if you exclude a location during sequencing but it creates a folder there then upon runtime it creates those in the real file system? I may not understand AppV fully in the realm of exclusions. Any direction would be appreciated as all my searches for nonpersistent app of course talk about nonpersistent desktops for VDI.
