The microphone of my PC doesn't function
The microphone of my PC does not function properly. The output device (speakers) work fine, but the input device or the microphone that is supposed to catch audio outside of this device does not work.
Problem
The first time I realized that there was a problem was when I was trying to record an audio on an application, OBS studio. I thought it might've been OBS studio's fault that I couldn't record the audio properly, but soon, for all the websites that I tried using, I simply could not capture any sounds. These websites include Google meet and Vocaroo (a voice recording website). I've asked chatGPT many times on how I could resolve this problem but none of them worked.
Input device settings
For the input device (audio), I set it as the original microphone that came when I bought this PC. The volume is set to 65%, and as for the format, I'm using 2 channels, 24-bits, 48000 Hz which is studio quality. In terms of the audio part, it is set as "don't allow apps and Windows to use this device for audio" but when I change this to allow, the microphone will be disabled and therefore there won't be any input devices. I think this is the problem, but every time I press "allow" it will automatically disable the microphone, and when I enable the microphone, it will automatically change its access on apps to "don't allow".
Up to date
My audio enhancements are set as Device Default Effect and even though I've tried troubleshooting the input device (making sure that the correct device is selected), it still says my computer does not recognize the error. I've installed its latest updates and yet, it does not work. For the microphone settings in the Privacy settings, I've made sure that it is enabled for most of the websites including OBS studio, and only one app (which does not require microphone usage) has the microphone as "disabled".
Device manager
Another thing I've done is that I've gone to the Device manager to check for updates on the input device, and yet, it says that the device is up to date and it is working perfectly fine. I've gone to the "more sound settings" on my sound settings to make sure that the input device has been enabled.
I don't get what the problem is - is there a problem with the microphone itself, or on the computer, or on its settings?
If you could please help, that would be really grateful.
