Application.HasElevatedPermissions Property

Gets a value that indicates whether the application is running with elevated permissions.

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the application is running with elevated permissions; otherwise, false.

Remarks

The setter for this property is security critical and cannot be accessed by user code. For more information, see has a SecurityCriticalAttribute.

The value of this property corresponds to the value of the SecuritySettings.ElevatedPermissions property. You can set the ElevatedPermissions property in the out-of-browser configuration. For more information, see How to: Configure an Application for Out-of-Browser Support.

Caution noteCaution:

In Silverlight 4 and earlier, trusted applications run outside the browser only. Starting in Silverlight 5, system administrators can enable trusted applications to run inside the browser. In this case, however, the applications are still configured as out-of-browser applications. For more information, see Trusted Applications.
