OID_WW_GEN_ENCRYPTION_IN_USE

As a query, the OID_WW_GEN_ENCRYPTION_IN_USE OID requests the miniport driver to return the type of encryption currently in use. See OID_WW_GEN_ENCRYPTION_SUPPORTEDfor possible values.

As a set, this OID requests the miniport driver to change the type of encryption in use. The miniport driver should return NDIS_STATUS_INVALID_DATA if NdisWWUnknownEncryption is specified.

If any bound protocol has enabled indications with OID_WW_GEN_INDICATION_REQUEST, the miniport driver must call NdisMIndicateStatusto notify such protocol(s) if the encryption type changes. It can ignore the TriggerValue member that was specified in the OID_WW_GEN_INDICATION_REQUEST.

Note   This OID is not available for use beginning with Windows Vista.
