IAMMediaTypeSample::SetPreroll method (amstream.h)
[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. SetPreroll method specifies whether this is a preroll sample. A preroll sample should not be displayed.
Syntax

BOOL bIsPreroll
);
Parameters
bIsPreroll
Boolean value that specifies whether the sample is a preroll sample. If TRUE, it is for preroll and should not be displayed.
Return value
Returns S_OK.
