Policy.CreatePolicy Method

Creates an information policy in the specified content type.

Parameters

• ct
  Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPContentType
  The content type in which to create the information policy.

• globalPolicy
  Type: Microsoft.Office.RecordsManagement.InformationPolicy.Policy
  The site information policy to copy into the specified content type.

Remarks

If you pass a null reference as the globalPolicy parameter, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 creates a new, empty information policy in the content type.

Information policies are stored in SPContentType objects as an XMLDocument object. For more information about information policies in content types, see Policies in Content Types.
