Get the subject key identifier for the specified X.509 certificate.

Parameters

  • certificate
    A System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates.X509Certificate2 that represents the X.509 certificate to get the subject key identifier for.

Return Value

An array of System.Byte that contains the subject key identifier for the certificate parameter.

Remarks

The GetKeyIdentifier(X509Certificate2) method uses the algorithm specified in the configuration file to compute the value of the subject key identifier that is associated with the certificate parameter. The default algorithm is ThumbprintSHA1.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
