PC Pro Magazine Reviews the HP StoreEasy 1430
Hi Folks,
I really do love product reviews for Windows Storage Server solutions! Here is a new article from Dave Mitchell from PC Pro magazine. You might remember that I blogged earlier in the year about HP StoreEasy appliances and gateways and how HP calls them:
“a single, consolidated platform that delivers efficient, secure, and highly available application and file storage.”
HP has great momentum with the new StoreEasy line and this new review posted on the StoreEasy 1430 shows how these cost-effective storage solutions can “simplify network storage for SMBs”, Dave goes on to say it has an “elegant deployment” process and “excellent performance”.
The HP StoreEasy 1430 is a Windows Storage Server 2012 solution from HP that comes in 8TB and 12TB models built using the latest ProLiant DL320e hardware – this is a Windows Server Certified Gen8 server that sports an Intel 2.8 GHz Core i3-3220T CPU. HP pairs this DL320e with a Smart Array P222 PCI Express RAID card featuring 512MB of battery-backed cache and you end up with a powerful storage solution that can serve up simultaneous file and block protocols, de-duplicate your data and keep track of your files using the built-in File Classification Infrastructure.

I couldn’t agree more with Dave’s closing summary:
“HP’s StoreEasy 1430 appliance seamlessly melds ProLiant Gen8 hardware with Microsoft’s WSS2012 software. It’s easy to deploy and manage, performance is impeccable and its massive expansion potential makes it a good long-term investment.”

Got 1U to spare? These 1U Windows Storage Servers can fit into just about any rack that isn’t full. The HP NAS Storage team has been delivering great value with the entire suite of StoreEasy Windows Storage Servers and gateways. If you’re in the market for some storage I highly recommend checking out a StoreEasy!
