Windows Vista build 5456

I've already received two inquiries on the availability of the recently released Windows Vista build 5456 and when it might be added to MSDN Subscriptions. Current plans are for Windows Vista build 5456 to be released only through TAP (Technical Adoption Partners) and select technical beta testers through Microsoft Connect.

We anticipate offering an updated Windows Vista build (post-Beta 2) to MSDN Subscribers in the near future.

Best regards,

Seth Adams

Please consider releasing it soon.  The disc I was mailed as part of my MSDN subscription turned out to be a flawed coaster (I don't know if is missing files or a flaw in the installer, but it crashes complaining about missing files and errors every time I try firing it up on an ASUS CUSL2-C mb with a p3-900mhz processor.  Pretty stock stuff really.)  I'll probably get a chance to compare it to the downloaded ISO this weekend but something tells me that they are identical.

A refresh to a version that has already been described as significantly improved would definitely benefit both subscribers AND Microsoft.

Besides, we WERE promised access to pre-release code as part of the subscription.  Personally I don't see why we don't all automatically qualify for the same downloads as Connect users, after all, we are paying for the priviledge.  Just a thought...
