3. Using SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition and Other Data Stores
4. Catching Errors, Testing, and Debugging
5. Understanding and Optimizing .NET Compact Framework Performance
6. Completing the Application: Packaging and Deployment
7. Exchanging Data with Backend Servers
8. Networking
9. Getting Connected
10. Security Programming for Mobile Applications
11. Threading
12. Graphics Programming
13. Direct3D Mobile
14. Interoperating with the Platform
15. Building Custom Controls
16. Internationalization

I've been looking for a book like this for about a year now. I'm totally stoked to order it. I started writing what you might consider a micro- version of this book (just for me personally and my team), so it's great to see that there's something official, in depth, and correct! Plus, I can now stop working on it. :)

Thanks for posting this Mike, and I hope you enjoy reading it Todd and others! If anyone is at the European versions of MEDC and TechEd, we are doing signing events so you can get our ugly handwriting on your brand new book :)

Great that this is out.I ordered it immediately. Mike, I did suggest last year that we need an updated replacement for Andy's original book (Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (Core Reference)) and here it is. His original book was authoritive and comprehensive.  It not only told you how to do things but it also told you why and what you couldn't do (and why). .. So I would expect that the new book will fill the void well.   Cheers

My copy arrived from Amazon yesterday. It certainly lives up to the previous book, Microsoft .NET Compact Framework (Core Reference). It is now the new "Bible" for Mobile and Embedded App. development. Well done Andy and co. PS Is Mike on leave?
