I drove, not walked, to the mailbox this morning – to read the press coverage of the Elevate America launch that was held yesterday at the Seattle Work Source office. Governor Gregoire and Microsoft VP and General Counsel Brad Smith did a great job of kicking off the program. The paper felt mighty thin to carry a story on a job skills training program. So we didn’t make the print copy, but maybe more apropos, we did make it to the relaunched Seattle Times Microsoft Pri0 blog.
Here’s the event from my POV. Brad Smith has the microphone, flanked by Governor Gregoire, staff from Work Source and the Workforce Development Council, and one of the first job-seekers to get a voucher for free online training from Microsoft.
Other coverage of the story here.
