Crowdfunding for a Cause: 24 Hours Will Benefit Hundreds of Nonprofits
By Emily Horn, Silicon Valley Communications, Technology & Civic Engagement
Microsoft is proud to be the lead sponsor for Silicon Valley Gives, an event on Tuesday that will benefit hundreds of nonprofits in Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Benito counties.
The Silicon Valley Community Foundation is hosting the 24-hour online day-of-giving and more than 650 nonprofit organizations have signed up to participate. With $3M in matching incentives, your donation will go a long way to support local organizations working in education, skills training and youth initiatives.
We are also offering matching grants to five local Microsoft YouthSpark partners, including Boys & Girls Clubs, City Year, Junior Achievement, Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and Year Up.
