PDC05 - I finally meet Raymond Chen

Last night was the "Ask the experts" event. A huge buffet dinner for everyone, with several dozen large tables where the "experts" (meaning us MS folk) were grouped together by specialty areas.

The attendees could wander between the tables, findings whichever experts they needed.

During a lull in the action, I noticed that Raymond Chen wasn't talking with any customers so I went over and introduced myself. He's much smaller than I'd picture him, and he was wearing his famous tie. He's quite the funny, animated guy. The talk quickly turned to the advantage of blogging for getting little useful nuggets of information out, rather than trying to compile them all into a book or article.

And yess Russ, we did talk about our critical section article. :-) All is cool.
