Migration and Synchronization Update

As I blogged in October Microsoft is working hard on the migration/synchronization topic. This should enable customers to smoothly migrate to Team System or to synchronize with existing systems. Both are scenarios that we use in Redmond as well so we are baking quite a lot of internal experience into this.

 

TFS Migration and Synchronization

In April we have released the Migration and Synchronization Toolkit on codeplex. See this as a framework with all basic pillars to build you custom fit migration or synchronization solution, no matter which other system you want to connect. The Toolkit enables migration/synchronisation for Version Control as well as for Work Item Tracking.

For ClearCase we are planning to have a separate Migration Toolkit that fits to ClearCase. Ping me directly if you are in need to do a ClearCase migration today. 

 

Team Foundation Sever - Project & Portfolio Server 2007 Synchronization

We just released the TFS-Project Server Connector on Codeplex. This is a great step forward in our Dynamic IT strategy. We can now enable working seamless from PMO "down" to development, covering every party with the fit-best tooling.
